Professor Sara Chandler KC (Hon) is a qualified Solicitor with a background in property (specifically housing) and social welfare law.

Sara is an active member of the Law Society of England and Wales, and was a Council Member for 19 years until 2021. She chaired the Housing Law Committee and the Human Rights Committee in the past, and currently is Chair of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Committee where she advocates for social mobility, equality and diversity in the legal profession.

Sara was an early pioneer of clinical legal education and as Director of Pro Bono at the College of Law, she introduced hands on learning for law students, including volunteering in Law Centres. She is a Visiting Professor in Clinical Legal Education at London South Bank University.
